Brooke has never lost sight of the truth; that we are here to express ourselves through our relationships and our work as Love. I've witnessed Brooke take 'the road less travelled'  to find her True Self and calling with dedication, commitment and courage. Her gifts as an artist, writer and musician are born of a rare wisdom which  dissolves the illusion that we are separate individuals. Be open to be touched deeply by Brooke's contribution, she is a reliable guide.

Listen to Brooke being interviewed by Fiona about her experience with Fiona's amazing program Let Go Let Love.  I talk about one of my desires to help marry my coaching and my piano teaching, to free up young pianists to connect with their music and to feel a deep connection with their playing.

I'm finding, more and more lately, that what I want to convey seems to be beyond words.  As I come here to introduce you to a woman, a healer, a See-er, a close soul-friend of mine, I'm finding the same thing.  How do I sum up in a few sentences the magic that oozes out of this woman?  How do I adequately convey how simply being in her presence is transformative?  For years, Brooke Meservy has been the mirror who has helped me to See the best of myself.  She has a gentle, deep, quiet presence that makes you feel safe, held, courageous—loved beyond measure.  It's not so much what she says, but the space she so willingly holds, the way she invites you to walk passed all the paralyzing mind noise and drop into the wordless—that deep well within you that knows and sees and zings with energy, clarity, life, passion--peace.  She helps you access the strength (that is already within you) so you can move and groove and sing and shine in this world.  In a sentence, she is a hand that guides you gently home.

Quoted from Julia Fehrenbacher's blog Painted Path. (Be sure to check out Julia's deeply important book of her poetry and art, On the Other Side of FearIt is beautiful and precious, and deep and transformative, just like Julia's heart. There is an essence that speaks to you of something beyond words--like Rumi. Take a piece of her heart, and feel your world expand).

You are a woman with a strong, bright fire inside. It is not the type of fire that burns too hot, driving others back. No, this is the steady, beckoning flame of comfort and truth. It is kindled by your wide open heart, a space so full of love it welcomes in the oxygen it needs. Your daily choice to act from your heart is nothing to take for granted. The bright fire inside of you remains strong, nourishing, radiant, and true.

The way you connect with others is a rare gift in this world. You have a unique way of creating a nurturing space. As you listen and connect, you are able to hone in on the heart of the matter quickly and welcoming the whole experience. If there is a conflict or challenge in my process, you always help me take a look at the whole picture to see I do not need to shut down around a “problem.” Instead, you make room for it, help me see the gift in it, and at the same time, ask for what I truly need. There is not any sacrifice required when we are looking at an experience. Your tone, the words you choose, the timing of your questions, and the gentle, buoyant energy you bring to the space each work together to create an opening for growth. You have a special way with being present with someone in his/her process without editing your exchange to some kind of limit about what “can” be discussed. Usually, this takes place when you validate my feelings, and then you ask that one, vital question I have been circling around with a gentle lilt in your voice. You set me free to consider it for myself because everything about the way you ask suggests it’s all up to me, it’s all for me, and we can honor the experience for what it is. Beautiful!

Brooke, you are an artist. Your fire, your adventurous spirit, and your beautiful way of
connecting coalesce to create the symphony that is you. You are an artist at heart. Your work
shines, and you are radiant in your exchange with others. It is work that is play. It is sowing the
seeds of truth, the tiny hints of all the beauty to come. You sow and bloom, and beckon us all forth to do the same. Gorgeous.

One word that returns to me when I think about your essence is CLEAR, as in clarity.  You have an amazing ability to bring forth clarity for me just simply by being in your presence and talking with you.  But wanting to give you more than just the word, I've been trying to find a way to explain it more fully, and today I came across this excerpt in a book that I'm reading and I thought..."That's it! THAT is what I walk away with after spending time with Brooke." Here it is, what you give me by your open sharing of yourself with me:

"...moments of integration, making something suddenly clear, making us stronger inside, opening up unknown places within us and imbuing new meaning."

And that's no small thing!  You are one of the wise ones, Brooke.  It's your wisdom and honesty and bold sharing of yourself that enables me to see things more clearly, more deeply, more true-ly.  It's what we love about you.

I know that when we get together to catch up, it is going to be a genuine connection and an exchange of love. I leave our encounters knowing that you have opened my eyes to something bigger than I was allowing myself before.

You are genuine, kind, and deeply passionate about breaking through barriers and becoming a more authentic person, mother, friend, etc.  As a result of your passion to be your real self, you are a catalyst in helping others in their own personal growth.  You know how to ask the right questions, or at least the hard and direct questions, that help  expose the core of the issue.  But, you do this in a non-threatening way that makes the person want to shed her bullshit and move onward and upward.

You embrace new experiences and ideas with fearlessness and determination.  And then take the next step to actually playfully integrate them into your life and see if they fit.  You know how to express your emotions and ideas clearly.

Overall, you are an amazing soul with an infectious essence that I love and cherish.

The essence of Brooke is deep sensitivity, deep caring, deep longing for her own Truth. The essence of Brooke is an intelligence that goes beyond the norm.  Brooke has an absolute necessity to be living from and acting from her own integrity, and she has a willingness to step into her own discomfort in order to grow.  I have had the joy to witness her resilience and resolve to begin again and again in order to follow what she knows is True.  Brooke lives with an open heart, with a willingness to make herself vulnerable, yet with a strength to honor her own power and to live from her place of Light - a Light that her heart desires to share with others.

The essence of you is your heart.  It is open and listening for love and resonance. In your work with others, they will no doubt experience being received, wholly, every part of them. Your open heart transmits such clear vision, the experience is transforming.

Brooke is someone whose presence catapulted into my life in a way I never expected, and her impact on me over the last two years has been massive. When I think of Brooke, certain words spring to mind - precious, heart, soulful, beautiful, open, sensitive. She is an incredible writer who lets words and musings pour unguardedly out of her heart, creating a ripple effect that touches hearts all over the world. Her love for her daughters is tangible; her desire to extend and dwell in the presence of love, inspirational. She lives her life with her heart unashamedly open and visible, and with each piece of beauty she puts into the world through her blog, her mothering and her garden, she brings a touch of heaven to the most normal of Wednesdays, Tuesdays, Fridays.
